"Was the mother at home when you were there? If she was, couldn't she say something?????"

The boy's mother was always present when I was helping him; we were NEVER alone. Even though she consented for a period of about 3 weeks, she was the primary person who "turned me in" in the end. So it is highly unlikely that she would help me now.
