Helping your principal

We have a principal who is a master delegator. Because of this, the teachers are overworked and crazed while she gets to look good. After serving on one particularly pointless committee at the request of a colleague, I decided that I would only volunteer enough so that I could look good on my annual review, and nothing more. I put my energies directly into my kids and classroom, and I feel I am a better teacher for it.
