Book Suggestion
By Jaime

Clip to ScrapBook
I found the book The First Six Weeks quite helpful my first year. I am home on maternity leave or I would find the author for you. If you can get your hands on a copy of that book to read it might give you ideas for setting up routines and management. As for bulletin boards, that is not super important to me. My school does not encourage the use of premade things and it is just not my thing. I leave them empty and we fill them up together. We do family pictures and other things the first two weeks as we do guided discoveries of the tools in our classroom and those go up. Over time they switch up to other things. I also start creating charts and rubrics of expectations the first week and those go up.
