Good for you!

Clip to ScrapBook
I think that's great! Good for you!

I'm considering getting certified for secondary, myself. I'm Elem/Middle 1-9, but I enjoy it all ... though I'm not as crazy about the really young ones -- K-1/2nd grade (can sometimes
feel too much like daycare) -- as some of the older grades, but they're all fun.

I student taught in a 6th grade classroom at the Middle School, and I loved it! I liked being able to give directions and then walk around and help/observe. It's a lot harder to do that sort of thing the younger the students are. I also enjoy the conversations and such.

It gets rough when you get

a class that is just downright disrespectful, but then I just thank my lucky stars that they aren't MY students, and go home. That's one of the benefits of subbing.

I think I'd like to teach 4-6th grade, but we'll see. I honestly will take anything for my first classroom, and who knows? Maybe I'll love it!
