Clip to ScrapBook
In our state sped kids can qualify for an alternate test but only if they are a pretty severe case. I have one child in my room who qualified for the alt test and the other two sped kids did not. As insane as it seems, these other 2 kids are going to take the standard third grade test with no modifications. That means that I have one child who is reading at below kindergarten level and another one who can read but still has not mastered basic addition trying to take the test. Maybe I'm wrong but to me the only thing we'll accomplish with this is frustrating kids who are already at their breaking point.
