Homework
By Becky

Clip to ScrapBook
I don't think it's fair to take a grade on homework because you don't know how much help they received with it. I take a participation grade. I have a clipboard with a list of my students names on it. If they do not return the homework, I put a check next to their name. I give them an Oops Notice! It is just a little half sheet of paper that is a form letter. It tells their parents that they forgot to return their homework. Parents are asked to sign it. If it doesn't come back the next day, I take their recess. At the end of the quarter, I count how many dates homework was assigned and put that on my easy grader. It helps determine their effort on our report card.
