I'm glad you got some validation that it wasn't just you and you went onto a better situation! The teachers you worked with will get repaid eventually and perhaps they will be reminded of the way you handled it. I worked
for an evil principal right after I got my credential, I was hired to be a "reading specialist" (with no experince other than student teaching) and she literally handed me a schedule, pointed to the doors and said good luck. No training or job description! Then she had the gall to observe me 3 days later and say I didn't know what I was doing, however she didn't offer any help or suggestions
either. I was finally able to leave that horrid job and heard later of some very unethical things she had done. She was eventually downgraded to a teacher then let go by the district. I was relieved to know it wasn't just me she treated badly and thank goodness I didn't let it define who I was as a teacher.
