I can see your concern and frustration. No one deserves to be gossiped about, especially when they are gossiping at school about a girl's mom and the girl is in kindergarten! Don't get me wrong, it's wrong with any age, but I think it's differen when children are younger. As kids grow older (high school especially) I think they realize a little better not take things so seriously, but imagine what the kindergarten girl would have thought if she heard someone gossiping about her mom that way. With how sensitive kids are, especially younger ones, I'm sure she would be devastated and maybe even believe what they say. Though I disagree with what they do, I don't see anything that you can do about it. People are people. You will always have people who gossip no matter how bad it is.
