2nd grade - love centers, during guided reading, 1/2 class is at PE. other is split between guided reading and centers. Centers Mon-Thurs consist of anything that revolves around words, spelling, etc. putting their spelling words in abc order, spelling their words and word wall words with magnetic letters, salt tray to write spelling words in, www.starfall.com website for reading on computer or other tech programs, reading independently, buddy reading, write the room, phonic tiles and creating 4 sentences independently and writing them down, rainbow write their spelling words, journaling, lots of ideas. Friday as a behavior incentive, math centers, subtraction flash cards, telling time cards, manipulatives, etc.
