No really, I don't think there are a lot of summer teaching jobs for subs. In our district, even where we have summer school, I understand there is no need for subs. Probably the regular teachers who don't happen to have a summer teaching job pick up the slack when needed. I think subbing would be a very hard way to go if you are the primary bread winner or if you are trying to support yourself.
