Clip to ScrapBook
I work with a fifth grade class that never gets recess and doesn't have a positive behavioral management system with their teacher. I found that keeping tally marks on the board for tables/groups that showed good behavior and/or team work was effective. Each time a group receives 5 tally marks, one homework problem is taken from that night's homework. They really try hard when positively motivated. A good behavior club could work as well. You have the children's names posted on a laminated cutout and hung by a thumb tac on a bulletin board. When they misbehave, you ask them to take their name off of the good behavior board. The names still on the board at the end of the week get a treat of some sort. Hope these ideas can help! Good luck!
