LAST Exam

Hi, I live in NY and took the LAST and ATS-W Elem. in March 2003. The LAST is the harder of the two exams. You are given four hours to take it, so what I did was took my time and read the questions carefully. If I didn't
understand it, I read it again and again if necessary. Then I concentrated on the answers. Its multiple choice except for the writing part. I ended up taking the whole four hours, but I wasn't in a rush to finish at all. I had about 15 minutes or so to spare, so I used it to look over my writing sample. Really all you need to do is stay calm and relaxed and FOCUS!!! CONCENTRATE on the passages.

There are some where they show you a work of art and ask you to interprete it, but honestly, it wasn't as hard as it sounds. Other questions were about different religions, like for ex., they would give you a passage out a religious book and ask you to interpret its meaning or what religion it most sounded like. I passed it on the first try and got a pretty good score. Passing is a 220 and they usually don't give high scores on the writing.
