Million dollar project
By Missy

Clip to ScrapBook
I did a math project with my kids at the beginning of the year and both my students and parents loved it. I gave them all a fake winning lottery tickets for 1.4 million dollars. The conditions were that they had 14 days
to spend all of the money, only 3% could be donated and only 5% could be invested/saved. They were not allowed to have anything left over, they HAD to spend all of the money. They had to cut out their purchases from realistate ads, shopping magazines, etc. of everything they were to buy. I would not accept anything with out a picture. They had to keep a running tally and include tax.
I had some really creative projects turned in. One student started his own businees, another one planned a dream wedding, and others bought misc. stuff. They had the most fun sharing them and they REALLY got into it.
