Carol is a special education teacher of 5th, 6th and 8th graders. Her question is what rewards do older kids like?

Learning is a reward in itself. I would suggest giving the student praise and congratulations, this is a powerful reward that is remembered. I also would suggest some choclate. I always did great in highschool after receiving a candy bar, yummy!
