I don't know if this is typical of the area. Students may arrive early, but have to wait in the supervised (one duty teacher) cafeteria until 8:05. Teachers must be at school by 8:00. School begins at 8:30. We have two recesses, 20 min. each, supervised by teachers on rotation. Lunch is 30 minutes, teachers supervise on rotation, approx. once a week. Kids get out of school at 3:12 and teachers may leave at 3:30.
