Making a impression!
By Crystal

Clip to ScrapBook
One thing I have done before when introducing myself to the class I was student teaching was make an “all about me bag”. I brought in a huge beach bag full of objects that showed what kind I person I was. I involved the class
by having one student come up at a time and pull an object out of the bag. After the student pulled an object out I explained why it was in my bag and asked if any other student had similar traits about themselves. For example: one object was a tap shoe, I told the students I brought this with me because I wanted to let them know that I have danced since I was three years old and I
am currently teaching dance to children that are 5 and 6 years old. Another object I had was a bottle of suntan lotion this represented that I lived at the beach during the summer. This is a great way for the students to learn about you as well as you to learn about the students.
