Thank you for your reply. Yes they all do this on the computer and they have to spell the whole word. He gets about 10 or more sight words a week and one sheet that he has to write the letter of the week and a worksheet that
he has to pick which picture begins with the letter of the week.
She said at the first 9 weeks conference that Gage was a little behind and that we could just keep him back again nest year and I asked her not to make her mind up now. His next report card showed that nothing got worse but nothing got better either.
As of now he cannot read only his name and about 10 of his sight
words, he sounds eveything out but puts only a few togather. He wants to really bad and believe me it is not lack of trying because he carries a pen and paper around. He is scared of his teacher and I think he gets nervous because he can do alot of the things she says he cannot. So if he is not reading do you think I should keep him in Kindergarten another year and get his confidence back up? Thank you so much for your thoughts, we have sidewalk chalk and I am making flash cards as we speak. Thank you so much.
