Retention&spelling test
By Cheryl Johnson

Clip to ScrapBook
Gage can do all of his letters and he loves to write and when I tell him the letters in the word he is trying to spell he knows all of them.
Every week he gets 3 worksheets, whatever the letter of the week is he has a
sheet writing that letter in upper and lower case, one that he choses which picture starts with that letter, and a page of about 12 sight words. There was a program that out county has that is called Kentucky Reads that I found out was offered in childs school but I am unaware if he was in this program. I am planning on asking tomorrow.
I live in Benton Kentucky. I believe that her problem
sith Gage going on to first grade is that he is in speech(which is the only reason that he got into preschool the year before) but that is so much better. If I say V he thinks that I have said Z. She said that he still needs one on one help, there is 1 teacher and 2 aids for 21 kids in this class. I do everything that she asks and then some but the reading is not coming along. I know that being a teacher is hard and I just returned back to collage myself but she had sid the same thing at the first 9 weeks conference and on the next report card nothing got worse and only a few things got better. Thank you so much for your help and concern. I do have another meeting with the teacher and principal this week.
