Reading

Clip to ScrapBook
You can do it! I have had 3-6 children each year reading at a level 6 at the start of the year and have always gotten them to a 24 or 28 by the end of the year. Just help keep them reading! Make sure they are reading "just right" books at school and hopefully at home as well. It is a combon of phoics, comprehension, and books that students choose to read that has worked for me. The books they "choose" are at their level but they are self-selected so these kids want to read. Make sure you read with them independently or in a stratagy group daily and provide teaching points that they need.
