The Doorbell Rang
By jenn

Clip to ScrapBook
I had an observed lesson on division last year. I read "The Doorbell Rang" by Pat Hutchins to my class. It's a cute, short book where more visitors keep arriving and the plate of cookies keeps getting divided. As we read the book, students used die-cut cookies to demonstrate the division problems. After the story, they solved more division cookie word problems using the die-cuts and enjoyed some chips ahoy cookies.
