Lucy Caulkins is another GREAT resource. You just have to find what works for you and your kids. Try to have fun exploring and know that it will not be perfect. First graders are learning how to be confident while exploring. There are a lot of mistakes

I tend to be perfectionistic, which is something I am working on. I try not to project this onto these wonderful little explorers. I am tyring to take the strengths of this part of my personality and use them for good!!
