It sounds like abuse to me too. There are some parents who are so controlling that they will even want to control something like this - disgusting but entirely possible! Is he babied/controlled in other ways too? Believe it or not, my colleague last year had a kid whose parents openly said they put him in diapers when he got home (1st grade) so that he wouldn't get jealous of his new baby brother. They actually changed him, rocked him and let him drink from a bottle too!!!! Yikes!!!!Anyways, this mother even said it herself that she has to clean up for him at night when she gives him a |
| laxative, so obviously there is a problem where he cannot control it because of the laxative. Why is she still giving them to him in the morning? Its really bizarre and a little frightening. When you can't control your bowel movements, isn't it a sign to ease off on the medication???? Hello???!!! I don't understand why they had the meeting without the teacher, too. That's awful. If she has to do this stuff, she should be at the meeting. And has anyone asked mom what SHE does at home when it happens?? I think the teacher should talk to the team again and request that he wear diapers, if only for the health hazards and her ability to teach. What a strange world we live in.....keep us updated! other Lisa
