Arla has some great suggestions for you. I really do hate pouting. It's one of the most negative personality traits a child (or adult) can display. I would most certainly let the parents know that their child is pouting and it is hurting them in school, as well as hurting their peer relationships. I have found that when most parents are told that their child is being hard to get along with, it changes as soon as I speak about it to them, especially if the comment comes home every time it happens.

Above all, don't let the pouter have the attention he wants.
