Laughable

I team teach with someone I really respect. I have heard her talking about using DIBELS in our classroom so I looked into it. Seriously you have to be joking using this!

As someone mentioned previously you can gain so much more by authentic assessment such as ancedotal note taking, rubrics, portfolios, interviews etc and it's still teachable time, not just another mindless, antiquated assessment method for people who don't know how to talk and listen to their children (classroom setting).

It is sad to see districts enforcing this "method of educational measurement" under the guise of informing instruction thru assessment.
