60 second clean up
By StephR

Clip to ScrapBook
I do something very similar to this. I call it the "60 second clean-up". Basically, I count out loud from 60 to 0. In that time, all the kids are on their hands and knees cleaning the floor. They pick all the trash up, regardless of it is theirs or not. I don't actually even give a reward or anything. The kids are all cleaning and the room is spotless when they leave.

At times during the day, if I see the room getting a bit dirty (due to an art project or something) I will have a "30 second clean up" as well.

Just another idea!
