Shut your door! By Tootsweet

I don't mean to be flippant, but I wouldn't hesitate to shut my door to keep that noise away from my students. Some schools have an open door policy, so make sure it's ok with your principal before you shut the door.Hopefully | she's a new teacher and this will be resolved at contract time by non-renewal. If she's a tenured teacher, there's little hope of changing her. I get a little giggle every time I'm in the hallway lining up near our resident screaming teacher (tenured, by the way). I'm controlling my students with a hand signal or whisper voice while she's getting no where with her hollaring. | | You should see the looks on my students faces when we are next to her class. I do feel awful for her students. Really, save your sanity and slam that door shut. Maybe that will give her a hint! Good Luck!
