Your opinion is a breath of fresh air. Good parents try to reinforce what they want for their children in the future. What parent REALLY wants their kids to live with someone before marriage? Statistics show
that people who cohabitate before marriage have a higher divorce rate than those who don't. Many who do cohabitate will argue with that saying who wise it is to give the arrangement a 'test drive' first. I do marriage counseling for engaged couples and this is a huge area of heartache. We want our kids to find mates who demonstrate loving commitment, not immature convenience.

had that stand with both my children who are now adults and they turned out great! Start out with the long term goal in mind and know where you are going in life. Teach them to have respect for themselves.
