Depression
By CAM

Clip to ScrapBook
Kids love music - try Woody Guthrie's "I'm a Dust Bowl Refugee"
or "Brother, Can You Spare a Dime?"
Also:
"Happy Days Are Here Again"
"We're in the Money"
"In a Shanty in Old Shanty Town"

Keep the causes simple, but the kids won't have any trouble with the effects - show them pictures of soup lines and bank panics. They'll get it. You might tell some Depression jokes, too. People often laugh to keep from crying, and the Depression brought out the humor. If you want a few jokes, let me know and I'll email them to yuou.
