I definitely agree with the last post. Fiction is written for creativity but in the long run they need to learn how to support their ideas with information from text or suport their view with information from an article. They need to understand perspective and figuritive language as well as bias. Critical writing is so important for high school and students will learn to read critically if they have to write critically
