reality check, folks
By Connie

Clip to ScrapBook
Hi,

I've been at this a long time. It is too bad that it is often the lunatic parents and their mean, angry and disruptive kids are what makes our jobs miserable at times.

On the other hand, my job is secure.
I've watched my husband and so many others get laid off with no remorse on the employers part. Working six days a week, from 7 AM to 6PM and no loyalty. Then, when you are 55 and get laid off, do you know how easy it is to get a new job? IF you have job security, that is worth a lot in this economy. I realize that some of you don't work in states that protect teachers, so this may not
apply to you. Also, if you have kids, being home during their vacations and days off means a lot too.

If you are really burned out, get out and good luck. But, don't think that you'll be making more money. You are probably destined to make much less, work more hours and have different stresses.

The other side isn't greener, really!
Connie
