take a bucket of water, not to big, ask students to predict and then give it a Big Whopping Swing in a circle. With practice the water will stay in. The kids, outside, could tie anything weighted ( washer, eraser..toy, beanbag, nice and soft) and sling it over head lasso style, then.....let go.... it keeps moving in a straight line. I use that one to explain the solar system and gravity to year six.
