Valentine's Day
By Debby

Clip to ScrapBook
Hi MU! On Valentine's Day, my students enter and pick a piece of a valentine card out of a basket. Whoever gets the other half is their buddy for the first session in class. During each change( after recess, afternoon etc.) they pass the piece in and can pick again for a new buddy. We call it "TWOSday so what ever the activity is they do it together. In Math, I have an estimating jar of candy hearts - they estimate first and the 2 closest child to the answer ( remember to count first) have to equally share them amongst the class which is great for dividing. The list can be endless for lots of fun. We also bake our own cookies and then in "2's" decorate for our buddy. Have fun!
