Hi
I call the luchroom a staffroom, but anyway, I smiled when i read your post Thomas, because I do the SAME thing!! I do not eat with the teachers---- i actually just don't eat much at all.... I have 1 banana or muesli
bar ALL DAY!!! True! (noone can believe it at school, but i go without)

I supervise my class eating for 15 mins then i'm on my own, except in my country, all teachers have a 15minute playground duty, on the field or in the Preschool. So, there's NEVER much time to escape kids anyway!

As i see it, queer as it is-- when I go home, I reward myself with a snack. I have noone at home,

so i LURVE my down time more and more and more as i teach. Maybe it's having 31 Grade 1 kids yup! 31.

I love to jump in the car and drive my 25 mins to home. I bop along to the music's groove and when I'm home, it is pretty much paradise.

I don't wanna be unsociable, (however, we have some very young staff that are very cliquey and i spose ive hit 30yrs so im not in the circle ) but i'm always planning, cleaning up or cutting out or needing to prepare SOMETHING else and for me lunch is no exception.

So, keep at it- I know I will.
