This is my seventh year of teaching, and I must admit that I am getting tired also. I don't know if it's the time of year or what, but I'm thinking about not returning next year. I actually have a great class and wonderful
parents, but it is the principal who is wearing me down. I was at another school with an awesome principal, but had to move because of my husband's job. My principal now (who is the 3rd I've worked for in my career) is so negative. She likes to belittle teachers in front of others, and even went off on me for something another teacher did. I always imagined I would teach forever,

but I don't know if physically I can handle the stress that just going into the office puts on me! I love the kids, but for me, the principals make or break a teacher. I have had tough classes with an awesome principal, and I didn't mind it at all! I know principals have a rough job, but I wish mine would remember that a smile instead of a smirk can go a long way. I will wait to make my final decision, but I think that teaching is definitely becoming more challenging each year!
