I honestly never thought I would leave the profession until recently. This is my seventh year of teaching. I have, in the last two years, been put in situations that have caused me to feel this way. I have been stressed out with zero parent support and zero administrative support. I would try to discipline my students with fair consequences, and then get threatened by the parents with no administative backup. I honestly love teaching, and don't feel that the students are the problem.. Most of the time it is the parents and administration making excuses for their students not learning, and not practicing self control.
