For me it was instant. I hand carried my final paperwork to my university. (I had the RICA exam results and my CPR card). At that meeting, they sent my credential application (I had filled this out previously) to the state of California and handed me a C-19 letter. The C-19 is simply a letter saying you have passed all your requirements to be credentialed and the university is recommending you for a credential. Its like a temporary credential. I wasn't aware that some people had to go to their county office of ed. I would try both places. Cathy
