Guided Reading Groups
By AmberM

Clip to ScrapBook
I do guided reading groups of 4 and 5 children per group. I have them grouped according to level. I meet with each of my groups Tuesday,Wednesday,Thursday. Each group gets about 15 to 20 minutes at my guided reading table.
While I have a group with me, one group is doing deskwork (usually spelling or reading workbook page, something they can do without my help) and the third group is doing activity centers. Then we rotate. By the end of the hour all chilren have done Deskwork, A Center, and Guided Reading Group. Does this make any sense?
It is really my most enjoyable, relaxed hour of the day!
