Ideas
By Mandy

Clip to ScrapBook
I used several of Tia's ideas and they worked out wonderfully! Thank you Tia!

Another I didwas to write several different examples of cause and effect on sheets of paper. I also wrote non examples. Then I drew a T chart on the board. Students had to identify if it was an example or nonexample by stomping their feet (example) or waving hands (nonexample). Then we looked at all the examples to find out what they had in common (I used so and because as clue words). Then we discussed how you can read the cause OR effect first. It sounds long and drawn out, but the whole lesson only took about 20 minutes.

I also used the book If You Give A Mouse A Cookie
