Last year was my first year. A parent actually brought me a bottle of wine in a wine bag for her child's Christmas present. She even joked that during the party, we could go "out back and take a few swigs!" I think most would be suprised about parent reactions to alcohol. Also, over the weekend I went to a NHL hockey game with a teacher friend. A few of her kids were singing the national anthem before the game. We sat with the kids parents and they actually BOUGHT us beers! We were kidding before hand about drinking a beer in front of the parents, but heck it apparently didn't matter, since the parents bought it for us! They laughed about how ridiculous it was for us to think it wasn't ok!
