looking young, ACTING older

I have the same exactly problem. I am also 22 and am finishing up my internship with fourth graders. Not only do I look like I am twelve, but some of the students are almost the same HEIGHT as me! I am 5'7! I have learned to overcome these problems by letting them know that I am a teacher and acting older then I look. I feel that if you keep a professional demenor then they will respect you no matter how young you look!
