Clip to ScrapBook
One of the biggest frustrations I have to deal with is that students here aren't expected to become proficient before they are passed - we are not allowed to retain them - they get a social pass regardless of their ability.
This means that I often have students in grade 7 that are not really able to work above grade 4! I fear that student teachers and first year teachers are becoming like this, too - if you allow the first year teacher to have your lesson plans, when does she have to learn to make her own? she doesn't - and you will be left always the one doing the work - even when she has time to do
them, it's easier to expect you to do them and share. I say, once in a while, when you genuinely (sp?) want to, share a neat lesson with her - otherwise, she needs to do her own. If you continue to do the work FOR her, she will never get to be the great teacher that you are! Good Luck!!
