As I understand your post the current health aide is being cut and rrplaced by another aide. From the district office standpoint they did not cut the health aide. They cut positions and the aide currently in your class had less seniority and was cut. You are getting another person as the aide to this child.

I understand your frustration. I sympathize. However, the district decided to cut the budget and aides were cut. Your aide's position did not get cut but she fell to seniority issues, I would guess. Seniority can protect you but it can also work against you. This is one of those times that seniority worked against what you want.

The only bright side to this is that you are getting another person for this child.
