Hi Darlene:

This might sound like a really dumb question, but, I am curious about how other schools in my states, as well as others, do things. When you say "annual reviews" you are talking about assessing and rewriting
each student's IEP, right?
Annual reviews for me do not happen all at once. They are dispersed through the year. I had several last month and two this month. Actually, the special ed teacher did. She did all the testing and rewriting of the goals. I sat in on the IEP meetings.
My fingerprints are still delayed. Therefore, I'm still working as a sub. I have not sign a contract

because of it. And I need to take a test next Sat. (Jan. 22) so that I will be "highly qualified" by the NCLB law.

How are things going for me? Well, I have the schedule sort of worked out. We just had our grade-level meetings and some teachers want me to include a few of their students in my groups. That is challenging because for one teacher I would/will have to form an entirely new group. If I had another aide, it would be so much easier, needless to say.

And, I do not have mentor yet because I'm not considered an intern. The district won't assign one to me until I'm an intern. I must pass this test in order to enroll..... blah...blah.... I know I've told you this. Excuse me.
