Homework
By Susan

Clip to ScrapBook
I give homework every school night (no weekends) in Kindergarten. The homework items are things such as count the kitchen cabinets, find 5 things in your house that are purple, find 5 things in your bedroom shaped like a circle, etc. Sometimes I will give homework that will require an answer written down and returned the next day for a candy treat. The homework is never written down because I want the students to learn to be responsible. The students are not penalized for not doing their homework, but rewarded if they do it. If I assign homework that I want to make sure is done and returned, it will have an attached homework letter to the parent/guardian.
