Cola and an egg

I did an experiment with kindergartners where you put a hard boiled egg into a cup of soda for a few days...the cola turns the egg a brown color (plaque). Then, we cleaned the eggs with toothpaste and a tooth brush to show the importance of brushing your teeth. It turned out great!
