one thing at a time

I teach 4th and we have to focus on one aspect at a time. One day it might just be making sure everyone has capitalized the beginning of each student. THen we switch papers and the next focus might be indenting or does it make sense?
I always edit the students' papers before the final draft and I circle their spelling errors and the students have to go back and look up those words and correct them before going on to a final draft.
