Humbled????
By BN207

Clip to ScrapBook
The boy has been in the office many times. Not humbling. He is not afraid of her and speaks to her the same way he speaks to me. Lsat year at previous school in second gr he brought a bag of pot to school and the police were
called. He came to us with a sheet of office referrals from second gr. and the pattern continues. He was suspended right before the Winter break for a series of minor occurences. I have set up a reward system that I thought he would buy into but...no. We have a daily behavior chart that travel back and forth between home and school...no follow through. Attention seeking?Absolutely!!!!
Mentally unstable? I can't say. Can we afford to sit and make that judgement before we get him help? At my school we have a counselor, no asst principal and no psych help. The SW is there once a week, but he is not a SW not a psychologist. The parents don't know what to do with him, they are both YOUNG, maybe 23. His birth dad is no help...the appts I set up with him were no shows and the last time we spoke he wanted me to call him and wake him up prior to the meeting so he wouldn't miss it!!!! I might as well take him home and raise him as one of my own.
