Zero tolerance
By Merry

Clip to ScrapBook
The last two districts I worked in still follow a zero tolerance policy. This student would be removed from the school for at least a week. Then both the student and at least one parent would be required to attend a readmittance meeting before the child could attend classes again.
Were it me, I would make sure the administration is aware of the situation and push for some action.

Question: how did the kid get the gun back?? I would have taken it and kept it until a parent came in to claim it at the very least.
