Okay, I am really not going to get into this again and I am not going to argue. However, I am still quite upset that you have the nerve to question how I teach science or how competent I am as an educator. In case you did
not understand my original post, let me explain why I told my students that it is a theory, not a fact. The dictionary definition of a theory (which I did know previously, by the way) is:
-a statement or group of statements designed to explain certain facts or observations without actual proof:

As previously mentioned, a theory is NOT a fact. I am not incompetent simply because

I believe this way. I call a spade a spade. I said that it is the THEORY of evolution and it is. I did not speak against it or say that it was untrue. I did however express that different scientists believe different things. Am I stupid for saying that as well?

You brought up that you did not say anything about man coming from a monkey and that evolutionists may not think that. It has been my experience that most things that I have read about or watched in regard to evolution always points to man coming from apes. Now I understand that if walks like a duck...but I do not understand what happened to the half monkey half-half human. Why would the evolution just suddenly stop? And also, what did the poor monkies do to deserve having to stay a monkey? How was it decided who was to remain a monkey and who was given the privilege of becoming a human? This does not make sense to me. Please explain if you have the answers.

I do not believe in evolution. However, I do believe in adaptation. I believe that a species can adapt to their environment for survival (skin color near the equator, etc.). I do not believe, however, that a species can "evolve" from another species. This is just my belief and I do not criticize anyone who does not agree with me. I do become angry when someone questions my abilities as an educator. I have been voted teacher of the year the past three years. I am proud of this accomplishment and I do not feel incompetent simply because someone disagrees with my opinion and feels it necessary to call me and idiot in a round about way.
