absent work
By tia

Clip to ScrapBook
about 50% of the time, parents call and ask for the work in the morning, so i have most of the day to compile and write a brief note. most of the time, if no parent calls, i try to find someone who lives close to kid who will take to him/her.

1 thing i've started doing the last few years that has helped is--when i pass out papers, i don't pass out to kids who are here--but to every desk--that way i know every kid has a paper--so i don't need to go searching for my master to make a new one for this kid who was absent 3 days ago--desk neighbors usually slide papers inside absent kid's desk.
